OHDIR Foundation organized a Tree Plant Distribution among children in Kamalganj Moulvibazar on Ocotber 10, 2021 in their Kamalganj office premises very successfully. The chief guest of the program was Honorable Mayor of Kamalganj Municipality Mr. Md. Jewel Ahmed and the special guest was Md. Abdul Hannan, Chairman, no. 5 Kamalganj Union Parishad. The program was presided over by Mr. Md. Gias Uddin, Local Philanthropist of Kamalganj Upazila. The Counselor of Kamalganj Municipality Mr. Md. Ahadur Rahman Bulu, Female Counselor Ms. Seuly Akter Shapla and local Philanthropist Mr. Jamal Rashid was present as guest in the program. Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman Bhuiyan, Vice-Chair, OHDIR Foundation, Imtiaj Rasul, Director and Sobuj Ahmed, Program Manager, OHDIR Foundation were also present at the Tree Plant Distribution program along with local philanthropists, school children, their family members and staff members of OHDIR Foundation Kamalganj. The program was supported by OHDIR Foundation and Lion’s Club of Dhaka Oasis. Mayor, Md. Jewel Ahmed congratulated and praised the initiatives taken by OHDIR Foundation in the Kamalganj Municipality and also welcomes further programs for the people of this area. It is to be noted that 70 school going children were distributed 210 tree plants for their homestead. Among the tree plants; One child was given 3 types of plants 1. Neem plant (medicinal plant), 2. Wood Apple plant (locally known as ‘Bel’ fruit plant), 3. Akasia plant (wood plant). They were also promised by OHDIR Foundation, if the children can keep them Healthy for the next one year they will be given 5 more plants for their homestead next year.
